I can see rentals spending a lot more time on superchargers though.

Sure, but you arent taking into account that even with a $35K replacement cost, the savings on maintainance alone covers that and then some. Are expensive to buy, but relatively cheap to maintain. They will make money hand over fist even if they find themselves replacing batteries for some reason.
